Continuing the spirit of Japanese culture and art materials that have been around for a thousand years

About the Nonogaka Inc.

Preserving the lost culture of Japanese painting

The goal of Nonogaka is to protect and convey Japanese culture.
We provide four services to solve social issues related to Japanese painting.

Social Business

Increasing the number of young people who have experience painting Japanese paintings and passing on Japanese art culture

A Japanese painting experience program for children and parents at public education and events.
In order to promote Japanese painting education, we offer this program to many children for free or at a low cost.

For businesses and local governments

Nonogaka has offered a variety of Japanese experience programs to date.
We can also plan and implement new programs to meet your needs.

During a solo exhibition at a department store, I received sand and soil from a refugee camp in Bangladesh from a local NPO staff member, and used it to make handmade mineral pigments, which I then painted flowers blooming on the beach, which I then exhibited and sold.

At that time, customers who purchased works from me expressed their willingness to support the project, and I donated a portion of the sales. This triggered me to once again realize the potential of Japanese painting, which is not just about creating artwork, but can also naturally promote interest and understanding of social issues through art.

I would like to use my sales record in the national art market, my experience as a doctor of fine arts, and my experience as a merchants' association secretary to work toward solving social issues.

We are expanding our partnerships and network with companies
that sponsor, cooperate, and collaborate with our business.
